I am the same way about the Internet. I find sites that I love the content on & bookmark them. I am very organized, I rarely let a bookmark into the wild random unsorted bookmark area. I have folders and sub folders. Every time I save a page to bookmarks I either send it to a previous category or create a new one. You would think this was a good system of organization.
Good luck finding the website where you learned about XYZ 4 weeks ago! I spent way too much time clicking on bookmark after bookmark when my futile efforts to recreate my previous search that found me the info in the first place is a waste of effort. The info basically was irretrievable. This is despite my best efforts to organize it into “easy to access” categories.
The Firefox plugin Bookmark Preview has changed my world. No longer do I have click on each and every bookmarked link I have. The BookMark Preview skips that step. All you have to do is hover your mouse over each link and a screenshot preview of the website will be shown. For me this is invaluable because I more often then not forget where I got an idea at. Now I can just hit “Ctrl+Shift+B” & I’m in the Firefox book mark library where I can see screenshots of every bookmark I have. Simple & efficient.
What a great resource!
Good fill someone in on and this fill someone in on helped me alot in my college assignement. Thanks you as your information.
Thanks for this post. I definitely agree with what you are saying. I have been talking about this subject a lot lately with my father so hopefully this will get him to see my point of view. Fingers crossed!
javascript codings can prevent people from seeing the code, but when the browser is about to execute it, it has to have a copy. People can simply disable Javascript or they may look in the browser cache files to see the source codes.
Merry Christmas!
Thanks! You too & have a wonderful New Year as well 🙂
